CHRIST CENTERED PRAYER
SCRIPTURE FOCUS
Ephesians 1:17–18
That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. The eyes of your understanding being enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of His calling…
DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT
Prayer was never meant to be distant. It is not a reaching out to a God who might hear if we try hard enough. It is the holy conversation of one who already belongs.
We do not pray to get closer to God. We pray because we are already in Christ. We pray because He is the way and now invites us into the fellowship He shares with the Father. True prayer begins with this revelation.
Many people pray from their emotions or religious habits. But Christ-centered prayer is different. It is not built on how we feel it is built on what Christ has finished. When Jesus said "It is finished," heaven’s door was opened forever to the sons and daughters of God.
Paul’s prayers were never shallow or self-centered. They were rooted in the knowledge of Christ. His prayer was that believers would see, would know, would come into the full awareness of what has already been done in Christ. Not just that God would do something, but that we would see what He has already done.
And this is the power of praying the Word. When we pray the scriptures, we are not trying to convince God. We are aligning ourselves with truth. We are awakening to the mind of Christ within us. We are no longer praying from lack or fear but from union and fullness.
To pray without ceasing does not mean we must always be speaking. It means we never disconnect from this awareness. It means Christ remains our center, even in silence ,which means we live from the posture of trust.
Let your prayers rise today from the confidence of His cross and resurrection. You are not outside, you are already inside, so Let the Spirit of revelation open your eyes. Let the Word shape your language. Let Christ remain the beginning and the end of all you ask, all you see, and all you say.
🙏PRAYER
Father, thank You for the access I have in Christ. Teach me to pray from this place of grace, not as a stranger, but as a son. Align my prayers with Your heart and Let the Spirit of wisdom and revelation open my eyes. I want to know You, not just know about You. Help me pray the scriptures and stand firm in what Christ has finished. I rest in You. Amen.
