BLESSED ASSURANCE

📖SCRIPTURE FOCUS 

And this is the testimony, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life.

1 John 5 verse 11 to 12

These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life.

1 John 5 verse 13

💫DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT 

Salvation is not a wishful thought, or a reward at the end of life.

It is not a vague hope that maybe God will remember you at the end.

It is not a feeling that comes and goes based on how well you performed this week.

It is a knowing*

It is a confidence built on something more solid than your strength, more consistent than your emotions.

It is built on a person, the First begotten of the Father...

JesusChrist the righteous. 

     You were not saved by effort, you were saved by mercy and shear grace. Not kept by your discipline, rather upheld  by grace of God. 

This is the blessed assurance..... That God did not leave your salvation in human  hands. He placed it in the hands of His Son, who through the sacrifice of the cross,  He embraced all that you would have been , so in turn you become all that He is . And trust this , His hands do not fail.

There will be days you feel hollow and unworthy, 

There will be moments you remember your past and your heart trembles.

But the scriptures encourages >>>  look away from yourself and look to the cross< unto Jesus Christ the author and finisher of faith>

Look to the blood that speaks better things < redemption and grace> than your past.

Look to the empty tomb that sealed your victory.

Its not in the feelings but in the knowledge of what Christ did on your behalf.  

You are not guessing your way through faith rather 

you're resting in a finished work.

You are not begging God to love you again but learning to live in the love that is eternal.

So let this be a light in you ; 

The God who saved you is the same God who sustains you, the scripture says ; For He is able to save to the uttermost those who come to him . Trust and rely on this knowing....

God finishes what He starts.

🙏 PRAYER 

Father

Thank You for the gift of eternal life

Thank You for not leaving me to figure it out on my own

Even when I fail, Your mercy remains

Even when I question, Your word stands firm,

Let this assurance settle deep in my heart

Let me never be more convinced of my sin than I am of Your grace

Let me walk boldly, not because I am strong, but because I am held by your love eternally.

💡LIGHT 

The strength of your salvation is not in how tightly you hold God

It is in how completely He holds you. 

✨️FAITHFUL WHISPERS 

Your assurance is not built on a perfect performance

It is built on a perfect Saviour

So rest in this blessed assurance, that Nothing can take you out of His hands.
