🕊 DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT
The very first thing God says about love is that it is patient. Before it is kind, before it forgives or believes, love waits. That is no accident. Patience is the womb where love is conceived and the ground where trust takes root. If love were a tree, patience would be the seed.
□God Himself is not just loving ,He is love (1 John 4:8), and therefore, He is patient. When He calls us to love, He is calling us into His nature, into His pace, into His way. That way often begins with waiting.
□In a generation fueled by speed , quick answers, instant gratification, fast breakthroughs , we often forget that God is never in a hurry, yet never late. Heaven does not follow our wristwatches. It moves by divine rhythm, and that rhythm is often marked by silence, slowness, and stillness.
□Hebrews reminds us: "He that shall come will come, and will not tarry." But how can this be, when it often feels like He delays? The answer is in perspective. God does not measure time the way we do. What feels like delay to us is often divine development. When God makes us wait, it is not punishment—it is preparation.
Isaiah says "they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength". Waiting, in God's economy, is not passive. It is active trust. It is leaning on Him when the vision tarries, when the promise sleeps, when prayers feel unanswered. And in that waiting, strength is exchanged. Weakness becomes might. Despair gives way to hope.
📖 REFLECTION
●Where have I been impatient with God’s timing?
●What promise am I tempted to force instead of trust?
●How can I practice “active waiting” this week ; waiting with worship, prayer, and hope?
✨ LIGHT
Waiting is not punishment, it is partnership.
When God calls you to wait, He’s not asking you to do nothing.
He’s asking you to trust that He is doing something, something deep, something beautiful, something eternal.
Trust the process.
🙏🏽 PRAYER
Dear Lord, teach me to trust You while I wait.
Remind me that Your timing is not delay, but design.
Let patience grow in me, not just as a virtue, but as an expression of love and faith.
Help me rest in the silence, believe in the promise, and walk without rushing.
You make all things beautiful ,not in my time, but in Yours. And I trust You.
In Jesus name. Amen.
FAITHFUL WHISPERS
The wait is not a detour. It’s the path. And trust that God is walking it with you.
So Let patience finish her work , for what God is doing in you is not momentary, but eternal.
Amen.
